What's New for 2024?

Subaru recently made some changes to the Impreza. It brought back the RS trim and equipped all the trims with a continuously variable transmission. It also improved the car's technology package and tweaked some exterior elements. Most importantly, perhaps, the company modified the Subaru Impreza so that it's now exclusively available as a hatchback.

Design

With its hatchback design, the Subaru Impreza offers a lot of cargo space. Trim Levels

At our dealership, we carry three Impreza trims. The Base is the entry-level model, and it's followed by the Sport and RS. The Base projects sound through a set of four speakers, and it offers an illuminated front USB-A input port.

In addition, the RS offers more advanced safety mechanisms. While all of the trim levels have pre-collision braking, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control, only the RS is set up with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. These programs can be very useful when you can't see all of the vehicles around you.

Performance

Another way in which the trims differ has to do with their mechanical components. The Base and Sport both run on 2.0-liter engines that provide them with 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The RS, on the other hand, uses a 2.5-liter engine that produces 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. Both the Sport and RS come with paddle shifters. If you get one of these trims, you have the option of letting your Impreza handle the work or taking control over shifting. These two trims also have Subaru Intelligent Drive programs. With this program, you can choose Sport mode to make your experience on Newton roads more exciting.
