Subaru - Lesbie B

Here at Brookview House we appreciate Clay Subaru's love promise. We received a generous donation of toiletries, hygiene products, diapers, wipes, laundry detergents, etc. These items are a huge help to the families that reside in our family shelter. Families often arrive at Brookview House with a few bags of their personal belongings and with limited income. To be able to provide the participants with the donated items from Subaru is a huge help and relief for the families. Each family received items that were specifically catered to their needs. The participants were extremely happy and grateful to receive such items and shared how the donation would make it easier for them to support their family for the month. Brookview is thankful for the smile and happiness that Subaru brings to our participants. As staff it is our pleasure to deal with Subaru, they're always kind and easy to work with. They make it very easy to collaborate and their focus is being helpful to our families and assisting them as best as they can. We look forward to Subaru's love promise and we hope that we can continue to receive it.

Clay Subaru Helps Feed and Share the Love with Local Older Adults - Lisa B

With the help of Clay Subaru and the Share the Love campaign, HESSCO Elder Services has been able to provide thousands of meals to older adults in our communities who are unable to prepare their own meals. Our Meals on Wheels program delivers meals to people in Norwood as well as 11 other cities and towns. Through Clay Subaru’s generosity last year alone, we were able to deliver 481 more meals. In addition to providing nutritious meals, the deliveries also provide a friendly visit and a security check for the many older adults who live alone. We truly appreciate Clay Subaru’s partnership with Meals on Wheels. It makes a huge difference to HESSCO and the older adults in the communities we serve.

A Little Raffle With Big Results - Joyce D

I wanted to take the time to thank Clay Subaru for their generosity towards Self Help Head Start this year. It was exciting to be able to purchase raffle tickets for a Celtics game while knowing Head Start families would benefit as the recipients of the proceeds! Through this partnership, families within my agency are feeling valued and loved. With Clay Subaru’s commitment to the community and their partnership with Head Start, parents were provided much need essentials for the child to be able to strive and grow. Things that we take for granted, such as a bed! The donation received from Clay Subaru was able to purchase a car seat, a toddler bed and warm winter clothing for our children. What a perfect representation of Subaru’s safety features in their automobiles being carried over into keeping children safe by receiving a car seat and then keeping them warm and secure with their own bed and winter clothing items. As you may know Head Start is a federally funded pre-school serving low-income families across the greater Brockton area. With support from the community and the generosity of your dealership we hope to continue to work together in the future, for the good. Thank you! Joyce D.

Making a difference for head Start Families - Jennifer R

To say that Clay Subaru goes above and beyond for their community would be an extreme understatement. Head Start is a preschool program that services low-income families, some of which are struggling with homelessness, domestic violence, learning disabilities etc. with early education and care programs. I have had the great pleasure of working closely with Oscar and Sarah Lidonni and many more wonderful staff at Clay. I expressed at the beginning of the school year the challenges I was facing with resources to provide support for our families with basic needs that every child should have such as school supplies and a “NEW” school bag. It may seem like it is not crucial for our preschoolers to have new supplies and school bags but it’s not just about the supplies. Seeing these children walk in on the very first day of school with dignity and sense of pride is priceless. Clay Subaru did that but felt like they needed to do more, and they have continued to provide tremendous support. Most recently they organized a raffle to which all proceeds went directly to families in need. With the proceeds we were able to provide a new mother struggling with homelessness with an infant car seat to take her newborn home. In addition to that we were able to purchase a bed for a child who did not have their own and also supported our clothing closet with desperately needed clothes. We are currently collaborating with Clay Subaru and will be providing warm Winter coats for children in the community. Clay Subaru is a major asset to the community and most certainly is deserving of the Subaru Love Promise Award. Thank you, Jennifer Ryan Parent, Family, Community, Engagement Coordinater Head Start

The Uncommon Pumpkin - Renee T

Thanks to Clay Subaru We were able to line the town common in Foxboro for our annual "Uncommon Pumpkin Patch" Each year we welcome families to join us in carving pumpkins at one of our carving events at the Recreation Department as well as the Council on Aging. We were lucky to receive 35 pumpkins from Oscar at Clay Subaru to make this event a success. The families in town enjoyed visiting the common as well as driving by to check out the lit Jack-o-Lanterns each night leading up to Halloween. Thank you, Clay Subaru, for once again helping us to bring community together in Foxboro.

Clay Subaru Collaborates with Shultz's Guest House to Share the Love - Robin C

October 21, 2023, a cold rainy afternoon at Clay Subaru in Norwood, MA. Inside a big white tent holds 27 dogs/puppies playing gleefully awaiting their chance for a loving home. The five hour adoption event was successful sending 10 dogs to their forever home. Another 4 dogs were adopted the following day as people that came by to see the dogs, fell in love but were not prepared to take a dog home that day. We have a great relationship with Clay Subaru and have 4 adoption events yearly. The October event is the biggest event of the year and we promote the event along side Clay Subaru on all of our social media platforms beforehand to give the public notice. It has been growing in numbers steadily for the last three years. Clay Subaru supplies a tent, a slush machine, fancy for the kids, boxes of goodies for the adopters and a box lunch and drinks for the attendees and this year, a visit from Santa!

Brookview House - Lesbie B

Clay Subaru has made it possible for Brookview House to assist many homeless families. When families arrive at the shelter, they often feel hopeless, ashamed and with their spirits broken. With Subaru's donations of personal hygiene items and diapers, we were able to provide the participants and their families with the much-needed items. The participants were extremely grateful and were at ease because most of them arrive at the shelter with limited belongings. Often times, the participants don't have the means to purchase the multiple items that they need because of their limited income. The participant's income is mostly utilized to secure housing, to secure a roof over their heads. Families often share with us that they spend a large amount of their limited income on paying for motel rooms and paying families and/or friends for being able to stay at their house. When the families arrive at Bookview House and we're able to provide them with essential needs, it's a blessing. We're able to make "Welcome baskets" with toiletries and we're able to provide their child(ren) with diapers. Being able to provide this removes a huge weight from the mom's shoulders. They can use their energy towards transitioning into shelter as opposed to worrying about not having certain hygiene items. Families often provide us with feedback about how they felt supported and welcomed when they arrive. We greatly appreciate Subaru for their support and donations.
